The last weekly issue

Hey,

This is the last weekly issue. Not the last email, but the last one that goes out just because it’s Sunday.

What changes

From now on you’ll only hear from me when I publish a new research post on this site. Each email will be a summary of that post: what I tested, what broke, why it matters, and the link to the full write-up. Nothing else.

There is no schedule anymore. Some months you’ll get one email, some months none. That’s on purpose.

Why

I want to be straight with you. A large part of the 66 weekly issues I sent was generated with AI and published with little or no editing on my side. Keeping a weekly cadence turned into filling a slot instead of sharing something I had actually worked on, and that’s not what I want my name on.

The old issues stay online, but they now carry a notice saying exactly that. You can find them in the newsletter archive if you ever need one.

How I use AI now

I still use it, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. Writing is not my strongest skill, so I use AI as a writing partner to turn my notes, code and lab results into something readable. The difference is what happens before publishing: the research is mine, every exploit and snippet is run by me, and every line is read and corrected before it goes out. If a post is wrong, that’s on me, not the model. The full explanation is on the About page.

What to expect

• One email per new post, with a summary and the link.
• Deep dives on the things I’m actually working on: Active Directory, web and API testing, binary exploitation, Web3.
• Fewer emails, and every one of them earned.

If that’s not what you signed up for, the unsubscribe link is at the bottom of every email and I won’t take it personally. If it is, thanks for sticking around. The next email will be a real one.
